My passion to help confused and troubled dogs developed whilst working for the RSPCA in New Zealand. Beginning as a volunteer animal attendant and working up to becoming an Inspector, I met many dogs that desperately needed help on a behavioural level and so began my mission to research and experiment with a wide variety of behaviour and training methods.
After trying various techniques that I wasn’t completely comfortable with, I learnt of Jan Fennell’s Amichien® bonding. Jan’s techniques made an immediate impression due to her enlightening explanation for the cause of the dogs’ behaviour, and her holistic, natural and gentle approach using the ancient canine language that our domestic dogs still use today.
This led me to complete Jan Fennell’s Foundation & Advanced Certificates in Canine Communication in 2007; and I am honoured to be a Highly Recommended Associate of Jan’s team of Dog listeners, helping dogs and their owners live happy, stress-free lives across Gloucestershire and surrounding areas.
Here is a photograph of me with Jan Fennell taken during a weekend brainstorming session with a team of dedicated Dog Listeners about how we can help rescue centres apply Amichien® bonding.
